About Art on View
Discovery that starts with you.
Most museum discovery starts with logistics: what museum, what exhibition, what time, what ticket. Art on View starts earlier. It starts with:
what do you actually like?
Why I built it
Museum collections can feel overwhelming, especially when the starting point is a long list of exhibitions, departments, or unfamiliar art terms. I wanted to explore a quieter path: choose by instinct first, then add context.
The prototype
This MVP uses a curated local dataset of museum artworks, saved likes, and a simple recommendation model based on shared signals like mood, medium, subject, and department.
What comes next
The next version would add more NYC museums, stronger recommendation logic, and calendar-aware exhibition data.
